Procedure of IVF

This procedure has several steps and it must lots of patience as well. It is very important to understand that not all IVF procedure are successful. The first step of IVF procedure is a course of hormone therapy in which certain hormone is given to stimulate the development of follicles in the over as these follicles contain egg cells. Then ova or eggs are being collected from women ovary. Then these eggs are fertilized with sperm in test tubes to produce several embryos. After incubating these embryos for few days, one or two embryos are transferred to the uterus. In the uterus, implantation occurs and pregnancy begins. This is the basics of this procedure.

Like natural conception, it can take few cycles to become pregnant as not every embryo implants. This is why in beginning doctors saves some employs by freezing them so that they can be used in next cycle if required. Freezing of embryos is now taken as most important part because a patient can use same embryos to become pregnant second or third time. So you can plan the full family in one procedure.
