Formation Process of a Test Tube Baby in IVF Lab

Couples who are unable to get pregnant, they can achieve successful pregnancy with the help of the most effective treatment IVF which is also called test tube baby. The procedure is explained below:

  • If a woman’s ovary do not produce eggs then stimulation procedure is used for stimulate her ovary for producing eggs. Due to this procedure doctors are able to retrieve eggs from the woman’s ovary and collect them.
  • After the collection of eggs, doctors put the eggs in a test tube and mix them with sperms for her partner. If partner is unable to produce sperms then on the spot donor sperm is arranged for fertilization. Hence eggs are fertilized with sperms in a test tube.
  • After fertilization embryos are formed. Doctors let them leave in a test tube for three – five days. Eventually they collect the embryos and do embryo testing for evaluating the best, healthy and viable embryo for implantation.
  • Embryos are tested through mitochondrial DNA level process. Embryos which are found to be have abnormal amount of mitochondrial DNA, then are removed and not considered for implantation. After testing, single embryo is taken for transplanting into the uterus of woman.
  • At last, after 1-2 week, woman is called for pregnancy test to confirm that she is pregnant or not.

8 Test Tube Babies Born – Miracle at Sofat Infertility IVF Centre in India

Do you know something about test tube baby? I have written the many updates regarding this procedure. If you are first visitor to my blog, then I will tell you about the test tube baby. What is it and why it is used?

Test tube baby is the assisted reproductive technology which is used for creating a baby for those couples who cannot conceive a baby. Test tube baby is also known as In- Vitro Fertilization (IVF). It is the procedure for the treatment of infertility and makes the couple ready for achieving pregnancy.

IVF consists of various steps which plays a key role in making a baby. Firstly if a woman has a problem of premature ovarian or any other in which she is not able to produce eggs then doctor use a Follicle Stimulation Hormone (FSH) injections to produce the eggs. It is given every day to retrieve the eggs surgically. After the collection of eggs, doctor use that eggs and mix them with the sperms which are taken from her partner. Some time sperm donor is also arranged if her partner cannot produce due some problem. Eggs and sperms are combined in a test tube which is specially prepared for creating embryos. In a test tube embryos are developed. After this procedure, liabilities of embryos are checked that which is the healthiest. As earlier, so many embryos are used for implantation, and due to this fault IVF failed. But in today’s time test is conducted for testing the embryos. According to the DNA level, two or three cells of embryo are taken for testing. Basically an embryo is made up of hundred cells. The embryo which is viable and passed the test, that is taken for implantation. After implanting the embryo into the women’s womb, pregnancy test is conducted to make sure that woman is pregnant or not.

In Sofat Infertility Women Care Centre which is counted as the best IVF center in India. Within 5 days 8 test tube babies are born. This centre has achieved the great success in making the reputation as well as in giving the birth to the infertile couples. Dr. Sumita Sofat has given the contributionto achieve babies through test tube baby or IVF process. She is the giver who gives life to the couples and gives the chance of becoming a parent.

Assisted Reproductive Technology (ART) Give the Introduction of IVF

Assisted Reproductive Technology (ART) has given the great success to the childless couples in completing their families. It is the modern technique which is used for infertile couples who are not able to conceive. It is the best fertility treatment in which eggs are removed surgically or through stimulated hormone injection from the woman’s ovaries and then mixed with sperms in the IVF lab. If a woman doesn’t have ovaries which are removed medically due to some problem like ovarian cyst then eggs can be donated from donor eggs. If a man has problem of sperms which cannot be removed through ICSI or have zero count of sperms than sperm donor can be used to get sperms.

In 1978, the world’s first test tube baby was born in Britain. According to the survey of 2012, around 1.5 million ART procedure has been done worldwide annually in which 23.3% were succeed to give birth to new life and 76.7% ART were failed.

When all other treatments are failed then only one solution left to go for ART procedure and have baby. If there is unexplained infertility then doctors recommend ART treatment. This technology is divided into various parts in market which is subdivided as zygote intrafallopian transfer (ZIFT), frozen embryo transfer (FET) by procedure, and in-vitro fertilization-embryo transfer (IVF-ET).

In-vitro fertilization-embryo transfer is considered as the most successful treatment and introduced the new technology called IVF. This procedure is the largest market segment. New IVF technology has replaced the traditional IVF due to its highest success rate. As earlier, higher amount of sperms are used to increase the success rate but now the process has changed slightly and time lapse imaging system has been used to determine the embryo’s viability which is healthy and a clear picture of egg division is recorded.

To Create Fertility: Should In-Vitro Fertilization (IVF) be adopted?

For creating families, In-Vitro Fertilization (IVF) turned into wonderful infertility treatment. In the early 1980s this process was used for developing a healthy embryo and transplants it into the woman’s uterus to make her pregnant. Some women were having a problem of eggs production. They cannot release in proper amount and some release but that were not considered as the quality eggs. Then doctors use the hormones to stimulate her ovarian to produce eggs in good quality. Then doctors use the eggs with sperms and in lab they combined them and embryo developed. After this process, there is another step of implantation in which healthy embryo is used to put into the woman’s uterus.

Now a day also this same process is used to conceive. IVF failure cases also happened so much. Failure facts are collected and then this treatment again revised and now this has high success rate which is about 80% in old age woman.

Doctors have made it successful with their efforts and the faith of the people. In today’s time, in new IVF technique, viability of an embryo and woman is evaluated. It is predicted that woman is able to go for this treatment or not. This is very effective powerful treatment so there is need to check and it is a god practice to decrease the chances of IVF failure. Viability of an embryo is also examined through this the IVF process.

During the test when it is concluded that the IVF is safe for woman then she is allowed to go for this treatment. The whole process from stimulation of ovary to embryo formation is same as previous traditional IVF technique. The only difference is that after the development of embryos it is inspected that which embryo is better for implantation. This time test is conducted to analyze the best healthy embryo. This test is usually focused on mitochondria. 4-5 cells of embryos are taken for testing and then the levels of DNA mitochondria are checked. Then the healthy embryos are collected and one embryo is selected for transplantation into the woman’s uterus.
