Are test tube babies healthy?

Louise Brown was the first test tube baby girl who was born on 25th July 1978. She just kicked off an era. Now, she is a mother herself. She has also been joined by many other millions of babies that are born through IVF (In Vitro Fertilization) treatment. In the annual meeting of the American association for the advancement of science, many infertility doctors have discussed those babies who have been conceived with the help of the IVF treatment that they are likely to be healthy or not?

On the large scale, the most of the kids are in good position of health. It is not like that they have an extra leg or arm. But after some studies, it has been found that an average of babies gets the health problems after the age of 30s.

Also, the most of the babies have low weight than the natural born babies. Due to the low weight they might be having the problem of diabetes or hypertension.

But the next generation test tube babies will be healthier as researchers said with the help of new sequencing technique, the surgeons will be able to detect the abnormalities in babies before their birth. It will be possible to detect the embryo’s numbers of chromosomes, individual gene mutations, and mitochondrial genome mutations.

This analysis will be completed in 16 hours only. The next generation sequencing technique will help to identify the best production embryo in order to get viable pregnancy.
